Open Letter to Yoko Ono on the 40th Anniversary of the Bed-In for Peace

Happy 40th anniversary of the Bed-In! Give Peace a Chance! I was thinking today how we're all connected, I saw something about people in Haiti forced to live on cookies made of dirt (!), and that gave me pause (I live where I can eat whatever I want, and I often do, reason to be GRATEFUL!)

Then I saw you say on Twitter how we're all drops of water in the same sea, and I thought, "Hey, I'm *connected* to those people!"

And then I started thinking about this guy, Bill Hicks (I think John would have really dug him, he had kind of a similar mind) when he was doing this bit called "It's Just a Ride", talking about how "we have a choice right now between fear and love", and that we could make the world a better place if we "Take all that money we spent on weapons and defense each year and instead spend it feeding, clothing, and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and WE CAN EXPLORE SPACE, TOGETHER, BOTH INNER AND OUTER, forever ... in peace."

WAR IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT

Thank you for being a light in our world, and inspiring me to be one too! Love you, Yoko!
