Postcards From the Journey...: What AM I Doing Here?

1. Do I even BELONG doing this?

I'm a 57 year old with a lot of time on my hands trying to figure out ways to make my writing better, to get back that *spark* that I felt back in the old LiveJournal days (yes, I was there, it was AMAZING, kids!)

2. Now here's the deal:

I'm not always sure my grammar is up to snuff enough to post things (ironic, since I'm working on becoming a freelance proofreader!), I may even go back to studying grammar and post my findings/frustrations/whathaveyous about it. This is a no big whoop kinda production (think Gena Rowlands from A Woman Under the Influence, but she has a blog.) A comfortable safe place for anybody to come, we don't put on airs here.

3. So, who's gonna wanna read this, anyway?

You will want to be informed that this writer is a conservative - leaning Christian pro-life feminist (yes, that is a thing.) Notice I didn't say MAGA, because I'm not one (eegads, NEVER!) But, for instance, I like Chris Christie and Mike Pence a lot better than I like the Democrats. I'm also LGB friendly. Those things won't be the main thrust of what I post here, but you never know.

4. “Start a blog” they said, “lt'll be fun. Loads of laughs, writing practice, the whole shebang.“

I'm looking to post once a week, on various topics that strike my fancy (like Adam Driver, he can strike my fancy any time he wants —hooo!!! reign it in, Freeman!) Or a look at current news, or what happened during my week.

The only help I ask is just read and commenting your thoughts. Don't expect much debate here, again, safe, easygoing, I save that for Twitter (X! Sorry, Elon!)
