In which I make a rather controversial assertion:

This video is evidence of the fact that the early seventies group, Uriah Heep practically invented the use of stepped harmonies in rock music. Before they came along, there was no one else doing it (neither Yes nor Queen was around when they started, the only other bands that came remotely close vocally were the Beach Boys and Buffalo Springfield.)
